Blondes Make Better T-Shirts
When the rep for Blondes Make Better T-Shirts contacted me and asked if I’d like to do a review, I had horrible visions of tight tshirts with screen prints of self-righteous phrases on them (WHY IS THIS A THING?). Or some variation of the Victoria’s Secret PINK line. Or Juicy Couture. Oh, god.
But upon looking at the website, I was pleasantly surprised to see shirts that were actually wearable. The tongue-in-cheek “blonde” humor is actually pretty funny – like this “Ink Spill” shirt. Obviously, the shirts are not made for only blondes because who else has gotten lipstick on their shirt when taking off their top? EVERYONE.
The fabric is super soft and slinky (the best) and all the shirts are made with eco-botanical fabric, using only 100% sustainable, sweatshop-free and ethically responsible fabrics. One fabric is comprised of 40% beech tree and 60% eucalyptus tree. Another fabric is made of 50% recycled plastic bottles mixed with organic cotton. The company also features a line of “Save The World” shirts, where proceeds go towards causes like the tsunami in Japan, clean water, or global warming. When I first received my shirt and saw that it had a bunch of cartoons on it, I was like, did they pick this for me because I’m Asian? Upon consulting the website, I saw that the cartoons were actually drawings of animals and that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the shirt goes to save endangered animals. Dat’s nice.
As you can see, the tees also come with hilarious care and wear labels. Secretly intelligent humor for a good cause? Definitely worth checking out!
