How to contact?
My name is Tramanh Phi and this blog started as a collection of things I liked, i.e., my style.
How do you pronounce your name?
How old are you?
What’s your occupation?
I’m an attorney. I was previously a tax attorney, but as of 2013, I’ve decided to leave law and pursue my true love – retail!
Where did you go to law school?
Santa Clara University School of Law in Santa Clara, CA
How did you know you wanted to be a lawyer?
I didn’t! I had wanted to be a doctor from the time I was 6 years old. When I got to college, I was a biology major. After 3 semesters, turns out I’m horrible at science. I switched to Business because I didn’t know what else to do. When you don’t have 5 hour labs anymore, you suddenly have a lot of free time, so I picked up Political Science as my double major. Turns out I’m kind of awesome at reading and writing. My advisor suggested I take the LSAT and apply to law school – so I did. 3 years of law school and 1 Texas Bar Exam later, I’m a tax attorney in Houston, Texas. Currently, Husband and I are living and working in Seattle, WA as of May 2011.
What kind of camera do you use?
How did you meet Husband?
We went to the same middle school when we were 12, but didn’t talk to each other. We went to different high schools and colleges after that. I randomly ran into him at a bar during college and we found each other online after that. We kept in touch over AIM, Xanga, Myspace, and such after I moved to CA. He and I dated other people during this whole time, but it wasn’t until I moved back to Houston that the timing finally worked out. We began dating in 2008, bought a house together that same year, got engaged in 2009, and got married November 6, 2010. In May 2011, we picked up and moved to Seattle, WA, which is where we are currently.
Do you have pets?
How do you get your hair like that?
I’ve had either a digital perm or texture perm in my hair for the past 3 years, but my old Hair Cape tutorials can be found here:
Where in TX do you get your hair done?
Where in Seattle do you get your digital/texture perm?
What kind of styling products do you use for your digital perm?
I spray Aveeno Leave-in Treatment after showering.
Then I use Pureology Texture Twist or Bumble & Bumble Sumotech to twist into sections.
What color lipstick do you wear?
Red: Revlon ColorStay Soft & Smooth in Divine Port Wine, MAC Russian Red
Magenta: Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie, NARS Funny Face, MAC Rebel
Where do you find your music?
Pursuant to the Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guidelines, I will clearly disclose if I have been paid to post content on the blog by an advertiser. For the sake of full disclosure and complete transparency with you readers, I’ll explain all possible marketing that may appear on the blog.
FTC DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS. I aim to provide unbiased editorials. However, I wish to disclose that (i) I sometimes receive free products from marketers that we sometimes review or discuss in our editorials, and (ii) I may run advertisements on my site concerning some of those products or companies that sell them (and other products sold by such companies) for which we sometimes receive compensation.
Under each post, you’ll see that I post links to what I’m wearing (if available), and if a link to that particular item isn’t available, I post a “similar here” link directing you to an item that is a close match. The links are affiliate links as linked through RewardStyle, which means I may earn a commission from the sale of the linked product.
I don’t earn anything if a reader just clicks the link, I only earn a commission if you actually buy something through the link. Commission ranges from 1% to 15%, with the majority being under 10%. For example, if you buy this $80 Alexander Wang t-shirt from Net-A-Porter, I make $4. Different sites take a different amount of time for sales to “close” (usually 90 days), which means I don’t receive that $4 I earned from you buying the t-shirt until 3 months later. This gives readers a chance to return their purchase, in which case my commission is retracted.
Advertisements, if compensated for by an advertiser, may appear on the sidebar. I have also posted links to online retailers that I personally visit the most often. It’s just easier for me (TO SPEND MONIES) that way!
Sometimes I will receive free products or clothing to review and link back to. On these posts, I’ll always disclose that the item was given to me “courtesy of,” or I’ll have a full post explaining the review of the item. My reviews are 100% honest and if I don’t like something (like this hair dryer that I didn’t think was as good as my current hair dryer), I’ll tell you. Also, I would not wear ugly clothes just because it’s free AMIRITE?
If you have any comments or questions about RewardStyle or any of the marketing on the blog, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email!
