Remember when clothes used to fit so….TIGHT? Tight tank tops and tight flares? Oh, god *shudder*. Let us ride out this slouchy trend for as long as we can.
I just picked up this Madewell tshirt on sale and I was really impressed with it! Although Mr. Wang may be the reigning Queen of Slouchy Knits, the delicateness of the material can become an issue. Run it through the wash by accident and things will never the same. I’m reminded of the time I sat in a dressing room while Husband was picking out his first slouchy tshirt.
Husband: How does this look? The neck doesn’t look too big?
Me: That looks good.
Husband: But I should size up, right? In case it shrinks?
Me: No, you don’t wash it.
Husband: ….you don’t wash it?
Me: Yeah, you dry clean or Dryel it….since the material is so thin.
Husband: I’m supposed to dry clean a normal tshirt? So you dry clean all your tshirts?
Me: No, just the nicer ones. The normal ones I wash regularly.
Husband: The nicer ones? You know they’re just tshirts.
Me: Yeeaaahhh, it’s ridiculous…. but just do it.
Anyhow, the Madewell tee has a nice weight to it. The heathered marl is actually textured, which is nice. I still wouldn’t machine wash it though. At the very most, cold wash and hang dry.
Also, I’m loving the new beanie I got from the store. It’s a thin rayon-blend, so the material is more like a soft tshirt, as opposed to a sweater. Totally a beanie you can wear year-round. So good, I picked it up in both colors.
